Although the invention of
paintless dent repair remains unclear, its evolution has
been extraordinary. Today, with dedicated tool
manufacturers and suppliers combined with intensive
research we are able to provide top quality repairs
efficiently and effectively. Our paintless dent repair
system is better seen than described. Dents are removed
by hand, one by one. There is no heat, suction, or dry
ice employed. Using tools with working surfaces no
larger than screwdriver tips, the metal is bent back
into a flat surface using a succession of precise
pressure points from the underside of the panel. A
quarter size dent will require as few as 30 and as many
as 300 “pushes” to fully restore the metal to a flat
surface. The dent is identified and worked using special
lighting conditions. The light has a two fold effect. It
not only allows the technician to read the size and
shape of the dent but is necessary to identify the
working surface of the tool. This process is simply a
miniaturized version of conventional body repairs on
larger dents that rely on hammers, picks, and dollies. A
fully trained technician must have a thorough knowledge
of all metal types currently used by each manufacturer.
Access to the underside of the dent is critical,
therefore a technician must also the know the most
effective access points for each make and model. Every
one of our technicians, through thousands of hours of
field experience, is capable of completing repairs
quickly and cost effectively. We encourage you to stop
or call any one of our locations for a free
demonstration or estimate. A general price guide is
available. If you have questions please feel free to
call. |
